    People International is a major exporter of ladies, mens and children's shoes, to the
    United States and Europe.
    Founded by Peter Liu, a Taiwan business man, in 1978, the company manufactures
    medium price high quality leather and textile footwear in the Guangdong province of
    mainland China. With it’s principal office and showroom in Houjie town, Dongguan city.
    
    The design team headed by Tina Liu is Italian trained and the company employs Italian
    and Brazilian technicians for all aspects of quality control, using mainly Italian leather
    and European components.
    The production capacity in 2007 is 2 million pairs monthly.
    
    People International own thirty percent of the manufacturing capacity and subcontract
    the balance to collaborating manufacturers to whom they guarantee production is
    return for exclusivity. At the head office the company maintain a sample factory
    producing 3-400 prototypes daily. All quality control, order management and supplier
    compliance is managed by a team of highly qualified company officers and technicians
    employed directly by People.
    
    People have agents in London, where they maintain a permanent showroom, Holland,
    France, Italy and Spain. In the United States and the rest of Europe, they collaborate
    with major retailer and designer groups.The expansion policy of the company is
    'SLOWLY BUT SURELY ’ and they look forward to enquiries from new prospective
    clients.
